About Watsmen
Watsmen is building an engineering-led industrial group. We connect technical capability, disciplined execution and practical commercial judgement to deliver valuable industrial solutions.
Role Purpose
Coordinate assigned industrial engineering projects from scope definition to handover. Turn approved requirements into accountable work packages, realistic deliverable plans and review-ready evidence. Keep technical decisions, delivery commitments and local execution obligations aligned while preserving the independence of appointed technical authorities.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish the engineering execution basis for each assigned project. Deliver a project engineering plan defining scope, boundaries, deliverables, owners, dependencies, review gates and the evidence required for customer or internal acceptance.
- Coordinate engineering resources and competent partners against the approved plan. Maintain a deliverable and workload schedule exposing capability gaps, critical dependencies and realistic dates before commitments.
- Manage multidisciplinary interfaces and technical-query resolution. Maintain an interface and action register, organise focused reviews and record decisions so supplier, site and discipline work progresses on consistent approved information.
- Control engineering change with Contracts and discipline leads. Deliver impact assessments covering requirements, safety, design, procurement, cost and schedule; preserve an auditable record of the authorised baseline and outstanding departures.
- Prepare readiness reviews for procurement, construction, testing and handover as applicable. Compile evidence packs and exception lists, ensuring required technical acceptance and local responsibilities are explicit before recommending progression.
- Report delivery health and close the learning loop. Provide concise forecasts, risk escalations, recovery options and final engineering handover records, supported by actual deliverable status, review outcomes and lessons learned.
- Own the engineering delivery commitment and customer handover for assigned initiatives; provide Commercial and the COO with current resource, schedule, acceptance and change evidence.
First 90 Days
- By day 30: Confirm the first assigned project scope, stakeholders and decision rights; establish a deliverable register, resource view and priority risks with accountable owners.
- By day 60: Run an agreed engineering work package through coordinated review; demonstrate effective query resolution, change control and realistic forecasting against the emerging baseline.
- By day 90: Present an evidence-based project readiness or progress review, close priority coordination gaps and hand over a repeatable reporting and delivery-control routine. Demonstrate a delivery commitment and handover record supported by resource, schedule, acceptance and change evidence.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable formation, with evidence of coordinating multidisciplinary industrial delivery.
- Practical competence in engineering execution planning, deliverable management, technical interfaces and change control, with examples of completed work.
- Ability to challenge assumptions and forecasts constructively, distinguish technical from commercial decisions and escalate material risks early.
- Evidence of working effectively with discipline engineers, suppliers and project stakeholders while keeping responsibility and acceptance records clear.
- Understanding of how engineering readiness connects to procurement, construction, commissioning and operations; respect for jurisdiction-specific competence and registration requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Experience coordinating engineering across multiple organisations or jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with project controls and contract interfaces, including managing engineering deliverables for supplier packages.
Authority And Decision Boundaries
- Coordinate assigned engineering work, recommend priorities and corrective action, and manage approved baselines within the written project mandate.
- No title-based design acceptance, signing authority or authority to commit additional expenditure or scope. Such decisions require the relevant separate appointment or delegation.
- Escalate unsafe work, unsupported commitments and unclosed acceptance requirements; commercial pressure cannot override the appointed technical authority.
Key Interfaces
Discipline Engineering Leads and appointed technical authorities; Systems & Requirements Engineer; Commercial, Contracts, Finance and Trade teams; Anchor leaders, project-company teams and delivery partners.
Commercial and COO on engineering commitments, delivery changes and customer handover.
How Success Is Evidenced
- Forecast reliability and delivery of complete, reviewable engineering outputs.
- Age and closure quality of critical technical queries, interfaces and changes.
- Readiness evidence, preventable rework and completeness of engineering handover.
- Reliable delivery commitments and complete, evidence-backed customer handovers.
Activation And Delivery Readiness
Assigned work requires confirmed resources, competent delivery capacity and the applicable approvals. The role operates within its documented delegation; appointment alone does not confer contracting, spending, technical-approval or system-access authority.
Location And Travel
Istanbul, Türkiye. Project, supplier and Anchor travel as needed for coordination, reviews and handover; exact frequency and destinations will be discussed before appointment.
Employment And Working Arrangements
Full-time employment, with annual performance reviews. Twelve-month renewable contracts where legally appropriate, with probation and renewal terms determined under local law.
Roles are on-site by default. Hybrid or remote working requires prior approval. No relocation assistance or visa support is provided.
